Dacaprio
Impulsion, the
greatest elasticity, the best rideability and that
certain presence. Dacaprio passes on his
trademarks to his progeny, demonstrated for example
in the record of FBW Dejavu/Nadine Plaster who came
from his first crop: Bundeschampion in 2004, bronze
at the WC in the class for five year olds in 2005
and fourth place at the WC in the class for six year
old dressage horses in 2006. Dacaprio has
established himself as a versatile sire and supplier
of horses for auctions. Braveheart/Daniel Lahmann,
for example, placed in 2005 at the Bundeschampionat
for show jumpers. In 2006, Didi le grand/Jan Büsch
started in Warendorf in a class for event horses and
Daylight/Hendrik Gäbel took third place at the
Riding Horse Championships in Verden and was
nominated for the Bundeschampionat. Two of
Dacaprio's sons were licensed. More than 20 of his
daughters received State Premium candidate status.
In 2006, Dacaprio was also the sire of the gold
winning foal at six foal shows in Baden-Württemberg.
Because his off-spring were highly esteemed and he
himself was successful in M/A-level dressage tests,
Dacaprio was awarded a main premium.
His
sire, Davignon I, who is trained up to Grand Prix,
is one of the most highly profiled Donnerhall sons
with nearly 30 licensed sons. In the dressage ring,
off-spring such as the three-time European Champion,
Duchess/Jessica Werndl, Davinia/Christoph Koschel,
Duke/Benjamin Werndl and Duvalier/Anna-Katharina
Lüttgen won nearly 440,000 Euro in 2006. Dacaprio's
dam was successful in youngster sport before she was
bred and she produced a State Premium candidate
named Decala (by Davignon I). Her full sister,
Chippy, is the dam of a licensed stallion called De
Laurentis (by De Niro) and his full brother, Donario,
who placed up front at the 2006 Riding Horse
Championships in Verden. The dam's sire, Caprimond,
Elite stallion and 1998 Trakehner Stallion of the
Year, was successfully shown up to Grand Prix.
Kilady, a Thoroughbred mare found in the third
generation, was a successful event horse. When bred
to Wellington, she produced two successful M-level
dressage horses, Kira and Kessa, as well as a CIC*
sport horse named Wüstenfuchs.
