Numerous first places in tests for young riding horses, including the 2004 Hanoverian Championships in Verden as well as bronze twice in 2004 and 2005 at the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf are convincing recommendations for this strong type, large lined, young dressage stallion.

He did an outstanding job at his 30-day test in Schlieckau in 2004 with high scores for his gaits and for rideabilty (9.5 in the outside rider test!). He qualified for the Bundeschampionat of German Riding Horses in 2007 with Falk Rosenbauer.  He is now competing very successfully at PSG and Inter 1 level.

As a sire, Desperados has turned into a real bank. His foals are chic, have good types and very good movements. Absolute top foals were seen at many of the foal shows and auctions all over Germany. His son Desert Storm was the star in the lot of foals at the Elite Fall Auction in Vechta and was sold to Switzerland for the top price of 28,500 Euros. In Verden, a filly was sold for 26,000 Euros. A son of the Champion Stallion De Niro, who proved himself in sport as the Dressage Derby winner in 2003, and grandson of Wolkenstein II, performance test winner in Celle and Bundeschampion 1993 and a sire of champion stallions and Bundeschampions. Most valuable in this connection is the highly esteemed Matcho AA, known for passing on rideability, and the legendary trademark stallion Pik König in the following generations.

The dam Wie Musik and the granddam Maskottchen, both highly decorated State Premium mares, produced licensed stallions. A full sister of the dam, Wie Platine, took third place in the Bundeschampionat in 2001. Also from this line are the licensed stallions Rocko Barocko, Zaadam, Condino as well as the dressage horses Mister Bean and Welfenkönig and the international advanced (S) level show jumper Mill Creek Rosalinde (E. Lamaze/CDN).
