Monte Bellini
In 2007 Monte Bellini won the
Bundeschampionat final in the class for
five-year old show jumpers with the
highest scores ever given and a clear
margin between him and the second placed
horse. In the first round he received
9.5 and with 9.7 in the second round,
this premium stallion and performance
test winner certainly earned the title.
His rider Marco Kutscher, who was
European Champion and Olympic bronze
winner twice with Monte Bellini's sire,
attested Monte Bellini "talent just like
Montender's paired with inner
tranquillity.“ Joachim Geilfuß, the
speaker for the ground jury, was also
full of praise, "They don't get much
better“.
Monte Bellini, in October 2007 "Horse of
the Month" in Westphalia, sired numerous
premium foals, including coveted auction
candidates.
His sire Montender has won nearly half a
million Euros in sport and sired two
licensed sons in Germany. The dam Ramira,
a highly successful medium (M) level
show jumper herself who has "performance
mare for jumping" status, is also the
dam of the medium (M/A) level show
jumper Garlyna (by Gloucester), the
medium (M) level jumper Denaro (by
Dinard L) and Conte Bellini (by Cornet
Obolensky) who was licensed in southern
Germany in 2006 in Munich-Riem and takes
first place in elementary (L) level
tests for young jumpers under Sebastian
Holtgräve-Osthues.
The dam's sire Ramiro is truly a
European stallion. The granddam Woldona
is the dam of a licensed stallion named
Rotary (by Ramiro) who wins ribbons up
to advanced (S) level in dressage.
Through the Hanoverian jumper sires
Wendekreis, Wiesenbaum xx and Ferdinand
the dam line goes back to the line
founding mare Javenda, a line which
produced the licensed stallions
Grandenstern, Baryschnikov, Donnerbube
I, II and III, Welton and the successful
dressage Grand Prix sire Margue H/Hannes
Baumgart as well as the sport horses
Wapiti/Fritz Ligges, Le Mans/Markus
Beerbaum, Lesotho/Ellen Schulten-Baumer
and Wansuela suerte/Hubertus Schmidt.
