Rob
Roy
Rob Roy took his stallion performance
test as a three-year old premium
stallion in Prussendorf with a total
index of 116.23, finishing on an
excellent sixth place. All of the
stallions ahead of him were already four
years old. His uniformly high scores for
rideability (118.40/4th
place) and his talent for jumping
(112.00/7th place) are
noteworthy.
His sire Rubin-Royal won the main
premium in Oldenburg, took eighth place
at the Nürnberg Burg Pokal and then
placed in Grand Prix dressage. In 2007
he won the VTV Dressage Stallion of the
Year award. More than 20 of his sons
have been licensed, including the
Reserve Champion and State Champion,
Rubin Cortes.
His dam, St.Pr.St. Glory Dream, did an
outstanding job at her broodmare
performance test, placed in tests for
young riding horses and produced
St.Pr.St. Red Charmer (by Rubin-Royal)
and a show jumper named Starlight (by
Sao Paulo). The dam's sire Glorieux was
the 1988 Riding Horse Bundeschampion and
then competed in medium (M/A) level
dressage. The granddam, St.Pr.St. Sally,
who is also the dam of Picado (by
Pablo), an advanced (S) level winning
dressage horse, is a half-sister of the
licensed and internationally successful
show jumper Grundsteins Erbe (=
Eurocommerce Rome, by Glorieux)/Gerco
Schröder/NED as well as the licensed
stallion Glorioso Noir (by Glorieux;
private stallion USA) and Fortunatus (by
Futuro).
The Hanoverian dam line of Grafenalp is
also known for numerous licensed
stallions such as the international show
jumper Griseldi L (by Grosso Z)/Ulrich
Kirchhoff and Fortunatus (by Futuro),
Feingau (by Furioso II; private stallion
Oldenburg), London (by Landjonker;
private stallion SUI), Landkönig (by
Landadel; private stallion USA), Lascaro
K (by Lordanos; State Stud Schwaiganger),
Picknick (by Pik Bube II; private
stallion) and Weissherbst (by Wendepunkt,
State Stud Celle) and many sport horses
that are successful in advanced level,
some of which were sold at auctions.
