Best of Gold was the 2013 Champion Stallion of the Oldenburg Saddle Licensing. Already as a young stallion, he was victorious in tests for young riding horses with marks up to 9.2. At the age of 5 years, he qualified for the Bundesschampionat.
The sporting and breeding performance record of Best of Gold continues to develop upwards year after year.
In sport, he is more and more successful with Birte Ahlers through victories and high placements up to Prix St. Georg and he shines more and more through the sporting successes of his offspring. He passes on his own movement possibilities, his performance and his character to his offspring in an almost resounding manner. The results are far above average successes of his offspring in tests for young riding and dressage horses. With a dressage index of 150, he is now among the 1% of the most successful dressage horse sires in Germany.
As a direct half-slave to Rosengold OLD, he also comes from the highly successful Edoste line. In series, licensed stallions, internationally successful Grand Prix horses, Bundeschapionat finalists and highly successful dressage horses originate from this line.
The dam is a half-sister of the licensed Oldenburg premium stallion Diamo Gold OLD as well as the extra class successful up to Inter I. The granddam Elfe is a full sister of the former Bundeschampion and international Grand Prix winner Exupery as well as a half-sister of the licensed stallions Serano Gold Prix St. Georg successful, Sungold successful up to Inter I, Diamond Gold successful up to S level and Deus and Don Gasparo successful up to Prix St. Georg. From this dam line there are now more than 20 licensed stallions as well as 5 Grand Prix and 13 horses successful up to S level.
The paternal order of Best of Gold consists almost exclusively of Grand Prix winning stallions like Belissimo, Diamond Hit, Don Schufro, Donnerhall.
The successful sporting and breeding genetics of the Edoste line, which have been successfully secured over generations, are becoming more and more important for the development of this stallion. His high percentage of 37% thoroughbred ensures additional type security in his offspring.
