Description

  • Champion Stallion Oldenburg 2023
  • 2023 3-day-test in Münster-Handorf with a end score of 8,36

A masculine-typed Champion Stallion, who embodies a perfect silhouette of a sport horse. Already at the pre-selection as well as at the Oldenburg Licensing 2023 he enchanted the audience and the judges, and not only because of his noble appearance. At every presentation he showed powerful movement mechanic, strong hind-end, self-carriage and great balance. At the presentation on the hard ground he showed his abilities despite the cold and stormy weather. Also on the presentation on the longe line he showed tactfully his best side. Bon Esprit’s impressive appearence with strong, solid fundament and big hooves convinced us over and over again. After having our specialists check the X-Rays, it was clear that he would be a perfect fit for our stallion station.

Bon Esprit is bred by Jürgen Fetzer in Zimmern, he grew up at the yard from Sönke Rothenberger and was prepared for the  stallion licensing by Johannes Westendarp.

The dam Olympia 4.0 PJF by Sezuan herself was already succesful in the sport up to the Prix St. George level, and the sire Bon Courage (Bon Coeur – Vivaldi) has had a very impressive first crop of stallions at the licensings.

The dam line and the pedigree are filled with succesful sport horses: both the damsire Sezuan and in the third generation Dimaggio have won the World Young Horse Breeding Championships, and their offspring are a familiar sight at the licensings. The damline of Duldersage produced several sport-succesful horses up to the highest level, such as Deveraux OLD, Rolls Roys, Sambuca, Don Rovero, Flemming and many others. The licensed stallion Roosevelt von Rotspon brings olympic influence to the pedigree.

Bon Esprit had a very high demand on the breeding season of 2023. Despite that, he finished his 3-day test in Münster-Handorf in the autumn of 2023 with excellent scores. The end score that he received was a 8,36, and amongst the individual notes were for example a 8,8 for the walk, canter and willingness to perform. We are looking forward to the future of this special stallion with “Bon Esprit”,  (translated) good spirit.
