Description
With his coveted dark coat, optimally constructed with generous proportions for a riding horse, Fenomenal is a real eye-catcher, captivating every observer with his outstanding type. This stallion, from the debut crop of the premium stallion Feliciano, is among the absolute best of his year and was celebrated as a premium stallion at the 2025 Hanoverian Main Licensing in Verden after outstanding performances. Living up to his name, he impressed on the triangular track, on the lunge line, and in the free-running presentation with his exceptional quality of movement, maximum freedom of the shoulder, and an active hind leg stepping under his centre of gravity, making him one of the audience favourites of his licensing year.
His sire, Feliciano, is age-appropriately successful in riding and dressage tests, as well as in qualifying for the Bundeschampionat (German National Championships) for 5-year-old dressage horses, achieving dream scores up to 9.2. He completed his performance test in Vechta as first reserve champion with a score of 9.04 and also finished his 50-day test in Schlieckau with the same ranking and a weighted final score of 8.82. Due to his outstanding first crop of foals, he was awarded the 1c Main Premium by the Oldenburg Verband in 2024. His sons immediately impressed at almost every German stallion licensing site with their exceptional movement and type, resulting in five licensed sons in 2025 alone.
Fenomenals’ dam, Hanoverian Premium Mare Flora M, was herself successful in riding horse tests, completed a very good mare performance test, and was a successful participant in the Elite Mare Show in Beedenbostel as well as a class winner at her mare show in Dannenberg in 2018.
The dam’s sire, Fürst Romancier, was an Oldenburg premium stallion, and in 2009 he was the most successful stallion of his age group, placing fourth at both the World Dressage Championships for Young Horses and the Bundeschampionat (German National Young Horse Championships). His offspring include winners in the international Grand Prix arena, such as First Romance, trained by Dorothee Schneider, the Burg-Pokal winner and Louisdor Prize third-place finisher. Also currently competing successfully at Grand Prix level are Fürst Enno with Juliane Brunkhorst, Fürst Fritz under Daniel Pinto, the three-time Junior Vice European Champion and Piaff Förderpreis seventh-place finisher, DSP First Class, as well as the two-time champion stallion For Romance I OLD under Therese Nilshagen, and his full sister, the Oldenburg champion mare, Bundeschampioness, and P.S.I. auction top seller Fasine OLD. Fashion Prinz OLD, another of Fürst Romancier’s numerous licensed sons, won bronze at the 2022 World Championships for five-year-old dressage horses under Frederic Wandres, after winning the final qualifier in Ermelo. In 2023, he added gold at the Oldenburg Championships for six-year-old dressage horses under Annika Feldhaus.
Flora’s full sister, Fia, is currently competing successfully up to S* level under Jessica Goltzsche, following numerous successes in dressage horse tests. Fenomenal’s granddam, State Premium Mare Camira, was twice ranked 1a at mare shows and completed an above-average mare performance test in all areas. Her sire, Competent, was once one of the flagship stallions of Heike Kemmer’s Amselhof stud farm in Walle. With outstanding genetics through his sire Compliment, as well as Glückspilz, Graphit, and Gotthard, his bloodline is known for powerful hindquarters, toughness, and longevity. His son, Christ, continues his legacy in the male line to this day. Camira’s full brother, Champ of Class, was successful in dressage up to the S level under Jennifer Schön.
The Hanoverian dam line of Pia is particularly renowned for its exceptional performance in sport. The Lodbergen champion stallion and S-level successful dressage horse La Vie, ridden by Therese Nielshagen, comes from the same family, as do the international Grand Prix horses Fairtrade (by Fiderstep), a 2022 World Championship participant in Herning and a 2023 European Championship participant in Riesenbeck; Roccabar (by Riedinger) with Henri Ruoste; De Nino (by Don Schufro) with Franz Haase; Water World (by World Cup), team silver medalist at the Junior European Championships and later a Grand Prix winner under Bastian Konzag; and numerous other offspring with successes up to the highest levels of dressage.
