Description
For Gold OLD – celebrated WC-finalist in Ermelo and now competing successfully at Small Tour with his owner, Stefanie Wolf.
Although he is still young, this grandson of the famous Weihegold already did everything right: he was series winner in young horse competitions and celebrated participant of the five year old finals at the World breeding championships in Ermelo in 2019.
For having qualified for Ermelo, he received the name suffix “OLD”.
In Ermelo For Gold was a popular figure and especially praised for the beautiful and harmonious presentation, the age-appropriate training level and the satisfaction he radiates.
This lightness enabled For Gold to stay in mind and lead to lots of new fans.
When For Gold was shown under the saddle for the first time in Marbach in 2017, he was already able to impress and finished the 14-day-test with a total of 8,21. This result and the overall impression he gave to the committee lead to his immediate licensing.
When he finished the 50-day-test as one of the best stallions with a dressage mark of 8,65 as a three-year-old, he was once more able to impress the experts.
One of the most important german breeders magazines wrote the following in January 2018:
“When seeing how this stallion moves under the saddle, ones only wish can be to take place in the saddle and feel it himself. For a three year old this stallion shows an impressive level of cadence and always reacts to the riders aids right away and with an amazing lightness and casualness.”
One couldn’t put it more appropriately.
For Gold was already able to convince from a breeders point of view, too. His first two foal years show how consistent he inherits his own type: the foal are long-legged and have their fathers facial and overall expression.
With Franziskus, Blue Hors Zack and Don Schufro, For Gold has three Grand-Prix-winning stallions in his pedigree.
His father Franziskus, who is ridden my Ingrid Klimke and was recently appointed to the german national squad, is highly successful in 4*-Grand prix competitions.
His mothers father Blue Hors Zack is currently one of the most popular stallions. With his rider Daniel Bachmann Andersen he is successful at international Grand Prix competitions and was able to win a 5*-Big Tour in Falsterbo in september 2019 for the first time.
With Don Schufro, a legend from sporting and breeding perspective can be found in the third generation of For Golds pedigree.
As a part of the team bronze winners at the Olympic Games in Hong Kong and as the father of the famous and unique Weihegold OLD, he is the perfect combination of athlete and sire and turns to became one of the most important dressage stallions of all time.
With Sandro Hit as Weihegolds grandfather in his fourth generation, For Golds pedigree is more than complete.
His mother St.Pr.St. Weihcera is a direct daughter of Weihegold and therby half-sister of the licensed stallions Sir Weihbach and Total Hope (winner of the 2019 Nurnberger Burg-Pokal finals). Weihcera reached the finals at the five year old competitions at the “Bundeschampionate” and is currently successful at small tour-level.
Grandmother Weihegold already made history at the age of twelve and is the most successful german dressage horse of our time. Her most important successes are teamgold and individual silver at the Olympic Games in Rio, German Champion, European Champion and multiple wins of the world cup finals with her rider Isabell Werth.
The Weissena Damline is one of the most important ones in the oldenburg breeding and produced numerous elite mares, like For Golds mother Weihcera asnd Weihegold herself. St.Pr.St.. Weihcine ist mother of the Oldenburg reserve champion Dodo Weihgand.
