  • Father to the champ. mare foal in DWB – Faretti (Franklin/Don Frederico) 2017
  • Father to the champ. mare foal in DWB – Francisca (Franklin/Michellino) 2016
  • UVM finalist for 5-year-olds 2015
  • Approved in Danish Warmblood in 2013
  • Champion stallion in KWPN in 2013
  • Winner of performance test in Holland 2013

Franklin confirmed his aspirations for the big dressage arenas with top placings up to Inter I. He began his career as KWPN Champion Stallion, winner of his stallion performance test in the Netherlands and finalist at the World Championships for young dressage horses.

Many of his sons have been licensed, including our Reserve Champion Stallion Franklin’s Love, the KWPN Reserve Champion Kadans, Faustus, who was recently approved for breeding in Munich, Fendi, who is already victorious up to intermediate (M) level with Sönke Rothenberger and our stallion Fair Deal. Out of the crowd of Franklin’s foals, the filly Faretti stands out. She was sold for 150,000 Euros and was also named best DWB dressage filly in 2017. In 2018, her full sister Feretti II was sold for the top price of an auction. In 2020, the filly Fascination became top price of the 2nd Helgstrand-Schockemöhle Online Auction, selling for 60,000 Euros. The title of “best filly” already went to Franklin’s daughter Francisca Lightfoot in 2016. With the Danish gold medallist mare Fransisca, the number of Franklin’s awarded daughters also increased.

His sire Ampère, KWPN Champion Stallion and champion of his stallion performance test, has produced over 60 stallions approved for breeding in the Netherlands and in Germany, including the Grand Prix winner Abegglen FH/Victoria Max-Theurer/AUT, the Louisdor Prize finalist Aperol/Emma Kanerva/FIN, as well as First Ampère, who came sixth at the World Championships for young dressage horses. His 53 state premium mares are led by the Westphalian Champion Mare Anky and the mare Amicella, who produced our Westphalian Champion Stallion and German and Westphalian Champion Valverde. Numerous auction top prices have also been recorded.

The pedigree of Franklin shows highly interesting inbreeding to the stallion legends Ferro and Flemmingh.

The dam sire Ferro won three championship silver medals. With Coby van Baalen/NED, he was part of the Dutch team that was placed second at the 1998 World Equestrian Games in Rome/ITA, at the 1999 European Championships in Arnhem/NED and at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney/AUS. Furthermore, he was placed second in the World Cup final in ‘s-Hertogenbosch/NED. He has produced 17 licensed stallions, including Rousseau, Negro, Metall and Rhodium. In the Netherlands, he received the predicate “keur”.

The maternal grand-sire Flemmingh is one of the most important dressage sires in the Netherlands and has produced the Grand Prix stallions Krack C/Anky van Grunsven/NED and Lingh/Edward Gal/NED.

Franklin is licensed in DWB, OLD, HANN, KWPN, WESTPH, Süddt. Verbände, Mecklenburg, Rheinland.
