Winner of the class for 4-year-olds at the 2024 World Championship for Young Dressage Horses
Proud James, who was awarded a premium at his licensing in Denmark, also completed his stallion performance test in the Netherlands with a sensational score of 91 points (out of a possible 100 points) and well ahead of the competition. “This gray stallion has incredible balance, a very good movement technique and a very good, committed hind leg. He has a tremendous uphill tendency and a fantastic character,” said examiner Bert Rutten, enthusiastically summarizing the jury’s impressions. Our Proud James received a 9.0 for walk, trot, canter, rideability and potential, and a dream score of 10 for self-carriage and suppleness. Proud James was finally graded in Danish Warmblood in 2024 with the following impressive comments from the judges: “Proud James is a harmonious and appealing stallion of exceptionally good type and with a good stallion format. He has a long, sloping shoulder and a well-shaped, slightly short but very functional and supple topline. He has a rhythmic, spacious, and energetic walk. The trot is supple, powerful, with good shoulder freedom and action in the hind legs. The canter is incredibly well-balanced, spacious, with great shoulder freedom and good natural carriage.”
