Description

Van Vivaldi was approved in 2012 at Münster-Hahndorf where he became the first reserve winning stallion. In 2014 he won the Swedish licensing performance test for dressage stallions. He was considered a very expressive and elegant stallion of modern type, and rewarded for his excellent mechanics, balance, and ease of movement. Van Vivaldi showed that he was a stallion with 3 excellent gaits and a promising future.

He was judged as having a big, strong, elastic walk. The trot as light, bearing, rhythmic and showing very good mechanics and self-carriage. The canter as very light, active, rhythmic, and elastic, with a great self-carriage even on a loose rein. Van Vivaldi conformation and technique can be used to cover many different types of mares to improve characteristics in both type and movement in their offspring. In addition, he passes on to his offspring 3 excellent gaits, the power to engage and lift their bodies in balance, self-carriage and charisma.

In 2015, as a 5-year-old, Van Vivaldi qualified to the finals of the Scandinavian Open in Falsterbo, and finished the season at the Young Horse World Championship’s where he was awarded a maximum of 8.76 points.

Van Vivaldi during 2016 was highly sought after as a breeding stallion so was sparsely competed. In each of his 3 starts he was victorious, winning with over 80%. Van Vivaldi ridden by Caroline Darcourt won the Swedish Breeders Trophy for six-year-old horses with 86.4%.

He received many words of praise from the judges, led by Mariette Sanders van Gansewinkel. Amongst the remarks were; a fantastic horse with three very correct gaits. The walk has a good reach, the trot has great suspension and covers a lot of ground, the canter is powerful, driven from the hind and well balanced. As a future prospect he received a score of 9.0.

During 2018 Van Vivaldi competed with great success at Prix Saint George level, with among other successes a double victory in Stockholm. He also won classes up to Intermediaire I level.

The 2019 season continued with strong successes. In his first competition together with Tinne Vilhelmson Silfvén they won an Intermediaire II with 71,17%. This was followed by their first International win at Intermediaire A CDI3* with 74,265%, and achieving a score of 75,765% in the Intermediaire II CDI3* class.
